As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Kutubdia has a population of 95055. Males constitute are 51.66% of the population, and females 48.34%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 41755. Kutubdia has an average literacy rate of 24.1% (7+ years), the national average being 32.4% literate.[2] The most populated area is Ali Akbar Dale. Thousands of visitors visit this island daily due to journeys and other business related work.
